How to Greeting in Muslim. In our era of globalization, we often come into contact with people different from us. Here are some of the common sayings, Muslim Greeting, and their meaning.
The greatest words for us to say are:-
"La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah." (There is no God but Allah, and the Prophet Muhammad is his messenger).
When the name of the Prophet Muhammad is the mentioned:-
“sallallahu alayhi wa salam” (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
When meeting another Muslim:-
“assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh” (may the mercy, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you).
They reply, “wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu” (and may the peace mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you).
When sneeze we say:-
“Alhamdulillah” (all praises is due to Allah) and any Muslim present must reply “yah hamuk Allah” (may Allah have mercy on you) and we can reply “ya dikum Allah wa yuslihu balakum.”
We praise Allah:-
“Alhamdulillah” and “subhanAllah” (All the praises are due to Allah - how free from imperfections is Allah).
When we Eat:-
"Bismilallah" and "Allahumma barik lana fee ma razaktana wa zidna khairan minh" (In the name of Allah).
When we want to thank someone we can make duaa for them saying:-
"jazakAllahu khair" (may Allah reward you with good). or “BarakAllahu feek” (may Allah give u barakah).
Before we go to sleep:-
“Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahyaa” (oh Allah in your name i live and die).
when u see something bad:-
"audhu billahi" (i seek refuge in Allah).
When showing appreciation for something:-
"Masha Allah" (as Allah wills).
When in distress:-
"Ya Allah!" (Oh Allah!).
When making a mistake and seeking forgiveness:-
"Astaghfirullah" (may Allah forgive me).
When planning to do something:-
"In Sha Allah" (as Allah wills). "Allah ta ala" (Allah The most high).
When we hear of someone's death:-
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun." (To Allah we belong and to Him we return).
